About the flat
We're subletting our whole flat in Weißensee – you get the entire place, not a room. You can rent it furnished (by taking over our furniture package) or unfurnished.
The building was finished in 2024, so everything is close to new. The flat is on the ground floor and has its own wooden terrace (9.80 m²) with a small lawn and a hedge. From the dining table you can see straight onto the playground, which is really handy when the kids are playing outside.
The heart of the flat is the open living, dining and kitchen area of 29.76 m². Large floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors open onto the terrace and let in plenty of light. There are two bedrooms (11.90 m² and 12.58 m²) – one works well as the parents' room, the other as a kids' room or home office – plus a modern bathroom (4.07 m²), a separate entrance hall (3.88 m²) and a small inner hall (2.51 m²) with a washing machine connection.

Furnished or unfurnished?
Available furnished or unfurnished: you can take over our furniture package for a fair price (instalments possible, individual pieces negotiable) – or rent the flat unfurnished. The fully equipped fitted kitchen (oven, fridge, freezer, induction hob) stays either way, as it belongs to the flat.
The rent is €1,899 warm either way. The LG washing machine can be bought additionally – it is never included in the rent.
Location & transport
Lehderstraße, Weißensee. From our own experience living here:
- The neighbourhood is very international and kid-friendly – it's easy for children to make friends here
- Primary school (Grundschule) nearby
- Several international daycares (Kitas) in the area
- Lidl right next door
- Free street parking
- Trams M2, M4, M12, M13 and bus 123 close by
- Prenzlauer Berg is right next door: about 15 min to S-Bahn Prenzlauer Allee and about 20 min to S-Bahn Greifswalder Straße by public transport – or just about 5 min to either by bike

- Electricity and internet are not included. You set up your own electricity contract; the internet contract can optionally be taken over.
- Deposit by arrangement
- The rent is passed on at cost – we make no profit from the sublet.
- The property management has to approve the subtenant. Their requirements: financially sound tenants, max. 2 adults and 2 children.
- Pets by arrangement. Under the lease, keeping pets needs the property management's approval (small animals like fish or hamsters excepted); dog breeds classed as dangerous are not allowed.
- During the sublet we remain the main tenants towards the property management.
- The sublet is intended to be long-term.
- Option to later take over the main lease directly with the property management if everyone is happy – not guaranteed. If the main lease is taken over (subject to their approval), a minimum term (waiver of notice) until 30 June 2028 is expected to apply.
